More former Nigeria greats like Victor Ikpeba, Garba Lawal and Celestine Babayaro will feature for the country at this year’s Star Sixes Tournament in London. Already former Nigeria captain Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha and Daniel Amokachi have confi rmed their availability for the legends’ competition. Th e tournament will be played between July 13 and 16 in London. Nigeria, who will be well represented by some of the top talents from the country’s Golden Generation of 1994-96, are pitched against Brazil and Italy. Th e Super Eagles won AFCON 1994 in Tunisia and made their World Cup debut few months later in the United States of America. Th ey were only denied a place in the quarterfi nals of the 1994 World Cup by eventual fi nalists Italy. Th e core of this team will then go on to clinch an historic Olympic soccer Gold also in the USA two years later
