Donald Trump 'Approves Sale' Of Military Planes To Nigeria

The White House has given the go-ahead for the
sale of military planes to Nigeria to aid in the fight
against Boko Haram, the AP news agency is
reporting.

President Donald Trump told President
Muhammadu Buhari in a phone conversation in
February that he backed the deal.
The deal, said to be worth up to $600m (£490m),
was agreed by the Obama administration, but
was reportedly halted on the day it was due to be
sent to Congress, after a catastrophic incident
involving the Nigerian military.

About 90 people, mainly women and children,
were killed in January when the Nigerian Air Force
mistakenly bombed a camp in the north-east,
which was hosting thousands of those who had
fled Boko Haram. AFP now says President Trump
had approved sales.

and insurgents activities.
“Furthermore, they stated that they escaped from
the terrorists’ hideout at Buk village in Damboa

authorities to make concerted efforts to reach out

The Chibok Secondary School girls, who were

devote attention to the release of other abducted
non-schoolgirls who are still under the captivity of
the dreaded terrorists.
The girls were released after the Federal
Government’s successful negotiation with the
notorious sect.
The girls, who spoke through their leader, Miss
Hauwa Ntakai, made the call while speaking with
journalists during a special luncheon organised by
the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social
Development in Abuja on Saturday.
The Chibok schoolgirl noted that government was
focusing more attention on the release of the
abducted schoolgirls because they were captured
inside their college.
She urged the government to also direct its
attention to other girls in Boko Karam captivity
because, according to her, “the Sambisa Forest is
a place of sorrow.”
She said, “We have many of our sisters there that
are not students of any school and nobody talks
about them. It is because we were abducted from
a school that government talked to Boko Haram
and they released us. We thank them
(government) very much, we appreciate them.
May the Lord bless them for what they have
done."

Nigerian Army Alerts Public On Boko Haram's New Tactics In Suicide Bomb Attacks

The Nigerian Army has warned the public to be
vigilant as Boko Haram terrorists have adopted
new tactics such as abducting children,
strapping them with suicide vests and sending
them back home, where the suicide bomb
detonates to kill members of the household.
A statement signed by Colonel Onyema
Nwachukwu, the Deputy Director Public
Relations, Theatre Command and issued on
Monday in Bauchi, said another tactics devised
by the insurgents is to create a fighting scene
to cause people to gather around before
detonating their explosives.

Full statement below:

Following regular interception of Boko Haram
terrorists suicide bombers by troops of
Operation LAFIYA DOLE and the serial failures
that have trailed their suicide bomb attacks,
recent developments indicate that the terrorist
group is now exploiting deceptive tactics to lure
unsuspecting members of the public to target
areas before detonating their suicide bomb in
order to attain maximum casualty.
It has been observed that one of the tactics
employed by the terrorists is to create a scene
such as fighting with each other or any other
person to attract attention and cause people to
gather around them before they detonate their
suicide bomb. Another antic is by abducting
children who are on errands, strapping them
with suicide vests and sending them back
home, where the suicide bomb detonates to kill
members of the household.
These deceptive tactics have been found to have
played out in recent suicide bomb attacks
carried out by the Boko Haram terrorists.
Members of the public are therefore urged to be
wary of these tactics and avoid such
unnecessary gatherings that could expose them
to preventable danger. Additionally, all parents
and adults are advised to sensitize their children
and wards on these new Boko Haram tricks.
They are also urged to be conscious of the
whereabouts of their children and rein them in
where necessary to prevent them from being
callously used by the terrorists for the evil
mission of suicide bombing.
Remember, "IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY
SOMETHING"
You are please requested to disseminate this
information to the general public through your
various news media.
Thank you for your cooperation.
