Klopp: Neymar price a game-change

The Reds manager labelled the Coutinho exit-talk as merely 'rumours' and went on to discuss the Neymar deal that he feels would have a profound and lasting impact on world football.

"There are so many rumours around. Only one of them is the Coutinho rumour," he told the Liverpool Echo.

"If Neymar is not a rumour then pfff... it's more than the next level, it's really not from this planet anymore," he said of the transfer that would see Paris Saint-Germain part with a jaw-dropping €222m to cover the Brazil international's release clause.

"Really? Two hundred and twenty-two million Euros? I can't believe that something like this would happen. But if it does happen then it changes everything actually," the former Dortmund manager added.

Amidst continued silence from both Paris Saint-Germain and the player himself over the deal which is reportedly on the verge of being finalised, new Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has been the only role player to speak out about it.

Following their 2-1 win over Juventus on Saturday, Valverde urged the club's board to do what they can to prevent the sale of the player who scored both his side's goals.

"Barcelona will not do without Neymar," he told he told reporters after the match.

"We want him to be with us and we know the impact he has in our game. It's clear."
